Are you a sceptic in regards to the many bible prophecy claims about the return of Jesus?

There are a few billion people on the planet who do not believe everything the bible claims. Those numbers increase when considering bible prophecy. If you are a sceptic about some of the bible stories or prophecy boasts you are not alone. Even within Christianity the percentage of believers who think all of the bible is true is small. You as a sceptic of the bible places you in crowed territory.

Why would anyone doubt bible prophecy?

Here’s just a few good reasons.

  1. It’s just doom and gloom. It’s crazy people trying to scare everyone.
  2. Countless false claims which failed to come to pass.
  3. Blood moon signs in the heavens that portend certain doom.
  4. Mystery planets and asteroids approaching our planet leading to wild speculation.
  5. Famous preachers convincing gullible followers to sell everything and wait for the soon return of Jesus.
  6. YouTube videos with tens of thousands of views with assurances that this time it will happen.

Sceptic Too!

I’m sick of all this too. I’m a sceptic of all the hysterical preaching and insanity. As a teacher, pastor, bible student and prophecy enthusiast, I have seen and heard just about every crazy thing that has been put forward as absolute truth. I don’t trust anyone without verifying what they are saying. I’ve learned that a lot of what I was taught about bible prophecy is not true. Visions and prophecies failed to come to pass that were ‘backed-up’ by the scriptures. Famous teachers I listened to and trusted connected bible verses with news events for proof that Jesus was returning soon. That was twenty to thirty years ago. Many trusted prophecy teachers had to sheepishly admit they were wrong.

Enough already. Stop feeding this obsession with false hopes and mystery planets and false visions from god. That’s god with a small ‘g’ because it’s not God Almighty sending these false visions about giant earthquakes in Yellowstone and Meteorites splashing into the Atlantic ocean sending 100 foot waves across the United States.

God’s Word is true. Every prophecy will be fulfilled but the prophets of today are not studying their bibles and teaching what it says.

This site, this author, is committed to fighting the ‘crazy’ and promoting the ‘credible’.

Bible prophecy is sound truth. When Adam and Even sinned in the garden, the Lord promised to send a ‘seed’ to fix the sin problem.

Genesis 3:15

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

In this verse God tells Satan that one day his head will be crushed by an offspring of the woman. Satan will be defeated. We don’t need to add mystery planets into the words of God.

Isaiah 7:14

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”

This is one of the many famous Christmas passages. A virgin would give birth to a child. This would be a miracle but God is in the business of miracles. It’s not a problem when you can do anything. This child will be called Immanuel which means “God with us.” The prophecy of the seed gains something here. The promised seed would be divine.

Isaiah 9:6

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called wonderful counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

The seed of the woman will be more than a god but he will be Mighty God, Everlasting Father. The characteristics of the Trinity are developing in the prophetic scriptures. But still we don’t need 100 foot waves sweeping across the continent to make the point.

Isaiah 52:13-15

“See, my servant will act wisely he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted. Just as there were many who were appalled at him–his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness–so will he sprinkle many nations…”

This man will be God’s servant but will suffer a brutal disfiguring at the hands of humanity the ones to whom he will comes to save.

Psalm 22:16-20

“Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing. But you, O Lord, be not far off; O my strength, come quickly to help me. deliver my life from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs.”

This verse describes portions of the agony and shame Christ experienced on the cross. We realize the divine plan was in place from the beginning. Jesus, the Son, would give his life on a cross of shame but God the Father would deliver him.

Revelation 22:7

“Behold, I am coming suddenly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Christ will return. There will be difficult times with earthquakes and some big waves perhaps but let’s stick to the words of the book and keep our wild imaginations to ourselves.
