Are you a skeptic? Do you question biblical prophecy?

Are you a skeptic about all this Bible prophecy stuff you keep hearing about?

Are you a skeptic in regard to the many Bible prophecy claims about the return of Jesus?

There are a few billion people on the planet who do not believe everything the Bible claims. Those numbers increase when considering Bible prophecy. If you are a skeptic about some of the Bible stories or prophecy boasts you are not alone. Even within Christianity, the percentage of believers who think all of the Bible is true is small. As a skeptic of the Bible places you in a crowded group of people.

Why would anyone doubt bible prophecy?

Here are just a few good reasons.

  1. It’s just doom and gloom and crazy people trying to scare everyone.
  2. Countless false claims which failed to materialize.
  3. Blood moon signs in the heavens and earthquake hysteria that spell certain doom.
  4. Wild claims about the mysterious Planet-X and asteroids approaching our planet leading to wild speculation.
  5. Preachers convincing gullible followers to sell everything and wait for the soon return of Jesus.
  6. YouTube videos with tens of thousands of views with assurances that this time it will happen.

A Skeptic just like you.

I too am tired of all the crazy speculation. I’m a skeptic when it comes to all the hysterical preaching and insanity. As a teacher, pastor, Bible student, and prophecy enthusiast, I have seen and heard just about every crazy thing that has been put forward as absolute truth. I don’t trust anyone without verifying what they are saying. (see here) I’ve learned that a lot of what I was taught about Bible prophecy is not true.

Visions that failed

Visions and prophecies failed that were supposedly ‘backed-up’ by the scriptures failed to take place. I’ve sat in large churches and listened to well-known preachers teach on this subject. They connected Bible passages with current news events to give their “proof” that Jesus was returning soon. For me, it’s been over forty years listening to bold claims about the “any-day-now” return of Christ. Many trusted prophecy teachers had to sheepishly admit they were wrong.

Enough Already

Enough already. Stop feeding this obsession with false hopes and mystery planets and false visions from God. That’s a god with a small ‘g’ because it’s not God Almighty sending these false visions about giant earthquakes in Yellowstone and Meteorites splashing into the Atlantic ocean sending 100-foot waves across the United States.

God’s Word is true. Every false claim of the Lord’s return hardens skeptics in their opinion about the Bible. I don’t blame them for their skepticism.

The author of this site is committed to fighting the ‘crazy’ and promoting the ‘credible’. The Bible is trustworthy. We do a great disservice to God’s Word when we try to force in stuff that’s not there.

Bible prophecy is the sound truth. When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, the Lord promised to send a ‘seed’ to fix the sin problem.

Genesis 3:15

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

God is speaking directly to Satan in this verse. He gives the world a very significant prophecy. An offspring of the woman, Jesus, will crush the head of Satan, at the appointed time. Satan will lose his freedom and ability to cause harm and chaos in the affairs of mankind. We don’t need to add mystery planets into the words of God. There’s plenty of mystery without the invisible planets.

Isaiah 7:14

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”

This is one of the many famous Christmas passages. A virgin would give birth to a child. (See here.) This would be a miracle but God is in the business of miracles. It’s not a problem when you can do anything. The child’s name was Jesus, but his calling would be significant. Immanuel means “God with us.” Jesus fulfilled that prophecy precisely. He was born as a man, but he was also God in the flesh. The prophecy of the seed gains something here. The promised seed would be divine.

Isaiah 9:6

“For to us a child is born, to us, a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called the wonderful counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

The seed of the woman will be more than a god but he will be Mighty God, Everlasting Father. (See here.) The characteristics of the Trinity are developing in the prophetic scriptures. But still, we don’t need 100-foot waves sweeping across the continent to make the point.

Isaiah 52:13-15

“See, my servant will act wisely he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted. Just as there were many who were appalled at him–his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness–so will he sprinkle many nations…”

This man will be God’s servant but will suffer a brutal disfiguring at the hands of humanity the ones to whom he will come to save.

Psalm 22:16-20

“Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing. But you, O Lord, be not far off; O my strength, come quickly to help me. deliver my life from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs.”

This verse describes portions of the agony and shame Christ experienced on the cross. We realize the divine plan was in place from the beginning. Jesus, the Son, would give his life on a cross of shame but God the Father would deliver him.

Revelation 22:7

“Behold, I am coming suddenly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Christ will return. There will be difficult times with earthquakes and some big waves perhaps but let’s stick to the words of the book and keep our wild imaginations to ourselves.

Interesting read about the Antichrist.
