When Christians die
If Christians die worshipping God their prayers have been answered. The fool says there is no God. A wise man turns from the ways of the foolish. The fool mocks the Christians who pray, but the wise man looks to God in prayer. When a Christian dies in church they die doing the thing they loved. They die in the house of God.
Atheist kills Christians while they worship in Church.
When Christians die, their temporary life in mortal flesh ends, but their eternal life in the Spirit begins. They receive a new body and an incredible endless journey begins.
When a dare-devil dies while jumping off a cliff or out of an airplane their friends say he “died doing what he loved.” That’s fine, I’m happy for him. (Not really, if he didn’t know Christ, the end is tragic.)
When a Christian is shot cold-blooded in a church and dies, that Christian died doing what he or she loved. That Christian died in the best way possible. With a heart focused on God, and a voice raised in praise to the King of Heaven, the Christian passed into glory while doing the best thing possible upon departure.
How will you die?
You will die.
We don’t get to choose our time or manner of death. Sometimes death arrives while sitting in traffic. Other times it arrives while sitting on the couch eating chips. It is the fear of most. Death awaits the end of us all. It cannot be avoided. We prepare for college, or retirement among other things but can we prepare for death? We can and we should. Most just avoid the truth. Jesus is that truth. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (Jesus is!) Knowing Jesus is the only true preparation for death. Most don’t have that life insurance policy.
If death arrives at the Christian’s door while he is sitting in church, with a bible on his lap, he died the best way possible.
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;
A True Martyr
He died the death of a witness for God. God and the angels rejoice as the Christian is received into glorious eternity. That is what martyrdom means. A martyr is a witness for God, not the abhorrent use of the word another religion boasts in. To die as a martyr in the Christian faith means one dies giving a testimony about God. In particular, a Christian should live a life that honors and models the life of Jesus.
Be like Jesus
Jesus went to church every week. We should do the same. Jesus prayed everyday. We should do the same. His prayers were answered. When an unfortunate tragedy takes the life of faithful Christians while they worship God, that is the best way to go home to heaven. Their prayers were answers.
You certainly don’t want to be sitting at home watching a football game or bellying up to a bar finishing another drink.
It’s best to go while sitting in church with your kids.
We should mourn briefly for those Christians who die too soon. But we should keep our focus on the prize they have already attained. The prize is God who is seated on the throne. He sees how we live and what we choose to do in our lives.
The atheist who kills little children while they sit in Church will face the Judge. There will be no mercy for that atheist. Sorry, but there will be no do-overs.
