Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but the Lord is coming back this September. September 23rd to be precise so please be sure to have your bags packed and all of your affairs in order. Oh and if you have any money stashed away for any special occasions, please just send that in to your local preacher who is telling you the end will be this fall. He or she will know what to do with your money since you won’t be needing it. If you don’t believe that the Lord will come back this September, (count me in that group.) well, you’re just an unbeliever and the Lord doesn’t want you in heaven anyway so don’t bother expecting Him to take you.
The fight for truth
The fight for biblical truth is fought the hardest among Christians. Christians fight hard for their interpretation and will unflinchingly cast damnation upon all Christians who dare to say their truth isn’t the absolute truth and a divinely inspired prophecy given directly from God’s throne. In many cases, as the story is told, an angel flies swiftly from the Lord’s side to get this message to the prophet just so He or she could get it posted on the prophet’s YouTube channel. God understands the importance of getting You Tube subscriptions so He sends messages to the right prophets at the right time.
If you don’t like sarcasm I apologize but I have plenty of that this morning. I woke up early this morning with a screaming headache. I got the coffee going and found my way to the computer to see what the world was screaming about on another fine day.
Now if I was a prophet like so many others I would say the Lord woke me up with a message directly from Him to deliver to the unfaithful Christians living in darkness and rebellion. No, I’m just a guy with a headache and I saw something I didn’t agree with and I’m going to let a few folks know how I feel about it.
Don’t believe? then don’t bother packing for the rapture
As many bible prophecy students know there is a
growing hysteria, oh excuse me, increasing awareness about the Lord’s imminent return this September 23rd. Let me just go on record to say I do not believe the rapture of the church will happen this September. In a video I just watched this morning, while my headache was going away, I was very disappointed to hear the teacher so strongly insisting that any Christian who does not believe the rapture will occur on a given day, such as the one approaching, will not be taken in the rapture if it does occur. So, if you doubt the rapture will occur today, but it does happen, than you won’t be taken. You will be considered unfaithful and unbelieving just like those who didn’t believe they could go into the promised land during the time of Moses.
As a refresher.
The Lord directed Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and then to the Promised Land. As most of us know the trip could have been very short but instead lasted 40 years because of the unbelief of many who doubted that God could indeed help them conquer the enemies who resided in the land.
So, back to the video that wasn’t helping my headache at all, the teacher equates those unbelievers during the time of Moses with Christians who do not believe in the rapture or even those who question the timing of the rapture. I was at least encouraged to hear the teacher say those believers would still be allowed into heaven, but further on in the video he seemed to imply that would also be in question if they took the stance of the unprepared virgins in the parable found in Matthew 25.
I try to keep my posts short so I’ll wrap up my thoughts with this.
Belief or disbelief in the rapture is not a salvation issue nor does it set one to a lower standing within the church.
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:1
I don’t believe the Apostle Paul forgot to add that belief in the rapture or the correct timing of the rapture was an important addition to the above verse.
“If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.” Romans 10:9
Nothing in this verse about believing in the rapture either. Is Paul forgetting something? No he isn’t but many of our bible teachers today are adding things into bible doctrine that does not belong. These teachers have a way of making Christians feel guilty, worried, or fearful in not believing what they are saying.
What if it’s true?
It’s not. The rapture will not happen this September 23rd, 2017. If I’m wrong I will not miss the rapture. I will apologize to the many fellow Christians who are up in heaven with me. We will all have a good laugh and realize how silly we have been but rejoice our time of rest has finally come.
Here’s the video I mentioned.
Tell me what you think.
