The world at war. This will not be like the wars of the past.

Another World War?

The World is Not Ready for Another World War. The world is not ready but it may have to get ready–and soon.

World war is threatening to make a comeback despite our distaste for the end-results.

North Korea?

North Korea is quickly improving its ability to wage war. Their imposing conventional force is thought to be very strong. Because of the sheer numbers of soldiers in the force, they are considered to be one of the top conventional forces in the world.

Now They’re Nuclear

Their nuclear capability is unknown but frightening. Whether they have the ability to mount a nuclear warhead on top of an intercontinental ballistic missile is still questionable. They are working hard to erase those questions. They have launched several missiles over the nation of Japan and into the Pacific Ocean. The Japanese leadership is nervous, and we can assume, heavily involved in negotiations to ensure their safety.

Who Blinks?

Japan is a proud nation and will not tolerate the belligerent actions of the young tyrant in North Korea. There are increasing rumors that Japan is considering acquiring its own nuclear arsenal by way of a business deal with the United States. The deal-maker in chief, Donald Trump, may be willing to make that deal. China and Russia would strongly object the idea of Japan owning nuclear weapons. There may not be a better option.

Capable Ally?

If the world is going to war in North Korea, the United States will need a capable ally. China and Russia would happily sit back and watch the mutual destruction if it occurs. Neither of the two cares about the populations of North or South Korea. The two communist powers believe the populations of theirs or any nation are only pawns in the great chess match among nations. China believes they have the upper hand in the long game. Russia is hoping to regain the footing they have lost. If millions have to die, what is that to them. Both communist nations barely blinked when ten’s of millions of their own citizens died in the great progress of Communism.

Communism Killed 94M in the 20th Century, Feels Need to Kill Again

World War is good if it helps to reach a goal

China and Russia probably would enjoy seeing a few nukes flying toward the U. S. mainland. They would relish the opportunity to pick up the charred and ashen pieces once the nuclear cloud has settled. Japan would not sit idly by and watch. If they were provided with the nuclear means to respond, they would engage. They have too much to lose. North Korea continues to plan more launches. They gauge the strategic risk and launch when they think they can execute the strategic maneuvers without too much coming back on them.

The dictator of the North, ‘rocket-man as he’s known to some, is afraid to fire at the U.S. He may be willing to confront a less prepared nation. We will see how this plays out in the coming months, but probably years. It’s a long game, none of the leaders want an open war, but someone will blink or push too far. It will be too late then, and every nation will be affected.

If nuclear weapons were given to Japan, that would change the dynamics. It might be the best option to prevent world war. Or it might get it started faster.

Make Money Not War

The world is trying to move forward, economic engines are starting to purr. The nations would rather make money, not world war, but wars have always been a very good business for some.

The book of Revelation, the last book of the Bible, is the end of God’s revealed story. There is a lot more beyond that end-point, but we know very little about that future. In Revelation, we learn some graphic details about the coming destruction. The Apostle John details the near-annihilation of life on earth. It’s not a pretty picture. How the final wars begin is not described, but a lot of the gory details are revealed in the last book.

It does end well but not for everyone. War is coming–the world will never be ready for the big one.

The Bible and war

Revelation six:

Opening The Seven Seals

Chapter six–first seal

Now I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.

Second Seal

3 When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4 And out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth so that people should slay one another, and he was given a great sword.

Third Seal

5 When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A quart[a] of wheat for a denarius,[b] and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!”

Fourth Seal

7 When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8 And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.

Fifth Seal

9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne. 10 They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” 11 Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers[c] should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.

Sixth Seal

12 When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, 13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. 14 The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. 15 Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave[d] and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, 16 calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”

8 Million dead in a war with North Korea

Many question the bible. Most argue it is an old book, changed many times over the years and has no relevance to today.

The prophecies of the bible fit into two categories.

Completed as described

Awaiting fulfillment.

The final wars are on schedule. I don’t expect North Korea to start things but I could be wrong. I’m no prophet, but world war is coming back. It won’t be pretty. Hopefully, it doesn’t return for a while.

We’ll see.
